We supply 46 cranes for Hitachi Energy’s new plant in Zaragoza
11 / 09 / 2026
One of JASO’s largest projects in Spain in recent years in terms of the number of lifting units supplied to a single plant.
The challenge
Hitachi Energy is relocating its dry-type transformer factory in Zaragoza to a new 22,000 m² facility, designed to meet growing demand and increase production capacity.
As part of this expansion, the company has once again chosen JASO Industrial Cranes to provide the lifting solutions for its new facilities.
Solución
JASO has designed and manufactured 46 lifting units for the new Zaragoza plant, supporting material handling operations across its different production areas and processes.
The project includes:
- 20 double-girder cranes in different capacities and configurations, ranging from 3.2 t to 50/25 t, with spans of up to 22 metres.
- 26 monorail cantilever jib cranes with capacities of 0.5, 1 and 2 tonnes.
Installation and commissioning were carried out together with MONAJ, JASO Industrial Cranes’ Branch Office and Official Service Partner in Aragon, completing a project that required extensive coordination across the new facility.
This project also builds on JASO’s long-standing relationship with Hitachi Energy, following previous projects including two double-girder cranes and a double-girder trolley for its facilities in Bizkaia, as well as two 20-tonne battery powered transfer carts for Córdoba.
Hitachi Energy’s continued trust in JASO reflects our ability to support major industrial companies as they grow and transform their operations, combining in-house engineering, manufacturing expertise, experience and solutions tailored to the specific requirements of each facility.
