3 overhead cranes for a new pumping station in Ecuador

We have carried out a turnkey project for Acciona in the city of Guayaquil which will help improve the city’s sanitary sewer system

Need

Acciona, a company that provides sustainable solutions worldwide, has chosen JASO cranes for the construction of the new La Pradera Pumping Station (EBAR) which will form part of the future Las Esclusas Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).

Solution

Our solution was to carry out a turnkey project which included the design, building, assembly and commissioning of our hoisting equipment.

At present, the new station has three single-girder overhead cranes. The first of these, a 5-tonne model with a span of 2.80 metres, has a clamshell bucket for the removal of waste found in the screening chamber. The other two—a 3.20-tonne model and a 10-tonne model with spans between 10.50 and 16.50 metres—are already in service performing assembly and maintenance work on the water pumps.

Thanks to our local technical support services in Guayaquil, Ecuador, we provide Acciona with ongoing maintenance to ensure the cranes’ excellent performance.

Thank you, Acciona, for giving us the chance to take part in this project that contributes towards modernising the Guayaquil’s wastewater treatment network.
